We are pleased to inform you about a humanitarian aid campaign that we have implemented for people in Ukraine! We were able to successfully send a total of 9 pallets with BARBICIDE® disinfectant products, to four different help organizations to aid the refugees in Ukraine.
In order to ship as quickly as possible, we were fortunate to recruit 13 volunteers who worked continuously for three days labelling all the products in the English language. “We are very grateful for the time and work the volunteers have donated to support this noble cause” says Lee Ann Schoepf, Marketing Director at KING RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL.
One of the requests for help came through Chris Giorigi, a former American soldier now living in Germany. He was contacted by a Ukrainian officer whom he had met years earlier at a military maneuver. He asked Chris to bring as many relief supplies as possible to support his men. These included: medical supplies, water, food and disinfectants. Chris approached us with this request for help. “We personally drove the first pallet of disinfectant products to Chris to a warehouse where he had collected items to support his friend. Chris and Johannes (also a volunteer) loaded a Sprinter Friday morning, drove through Poland and delivered the relief supplies directly to Ukrainian soldiers at the Ukrainian border on Saturday afternoon. It was a huge and very courageous commitment from these two, brave men!”
says Lee Ann Schoepf.
The remaining palettes were picked up or sent to various foundations and the Bavarian Red Cross, to support refugee accommodations in Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Moldova .
“We are grateful that we were able to make a small contribution to helping the Ukrainian refugees in the crisis areas,” said Lee Ann Schoepf.
